Re: Alternatives if development has stopped?

It's a shame this forum is not very active, and no input from the devs, as a forum is probably the best way for people to help each other out, without having to deal with individual support tickets for every question (which is how I believe they work). I suffer from the memory leak too, also on a 16...

Extracting data based on it being one of only 2 classes??

Hi folks, I'm running a fairly simple project which extracts prices. Usually the basic price is shown and extracted no problem. However occasionally, the item is in a sale, so instead of just the price being displayed, it shows: Was £3.00 Now £2.00 Save £1.00 The class of the regular (non sale item)...

Re: Running out of resources

This happens to me regularly also, and I have a high spec PC with 16GB of RAM.

Even basic tasks cause it to run out of resources, so it must be leaking memory somewhere. Works fine once you restart it, but it is annoying.

Re: Select kind in Browser works, but not extracting

Try setting the requirement to 'at least' 1 in the extraction settings. I have noticed occasionally it will not extract certain elements if this is not set, even though they highlight perfectly fine when done manually.

Re: Replace empty fields with default value

Is there any way this can be done? my trial runs out in a couple of days and I am keen to test fully before purchasing.

Thanks a lot.

Replace empty fields with default value

Hi there. I think I have just about managed to figure out most of the functionality now and I can see how powerful the software is. Really good. One thing I would like to do, which I hope you can help me out with is: Let's say I scrape 100 pages and 90 of them have telephone numbers, but 10 don't. C...

Re: Adding manual data to the database

Thanks very much for your help. I will give it a go. I managed a workaround by finding 2 separate common entities on each page, then used the 'Text Gatherer' > 'replace' function to replace the text with the data I needed. Seems to work well, however your suggestion sounds better. I will update if I...

Re: Adding manual data to the database

I should probably also add that when I say 'import file' I mean for importing into a different application.

I am looking to export the Helium results into a CSV which I am then importing into something else.

Thanks.

Adding manual data to the database

Hi there. I am currently trialing Helium. So far so good I am just getting my head around some of the advanced features in order to get the results I want. One thing I would like to do... The import file that I wish to use requires 2 columns that I cannot pull from the website. One is a name and the...
